Our Executives

He joined the Company in 1978. He holds a Bachelor’s degree of Law from Universidad Anáhuac and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from National University of San Diego. In 1999, he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer, and in 2004 he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He has led the Legal, Administrative and Finance, Human Resources, Systems, and Corporate Services departments. He is a member of several associations and industrial groups.

He joined the Company in 1971. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad del Valle de México with a postgraduate degree from abroad. He has worked in administrative positions and in Sales and Marketing, and he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group. He is a member of several business groups and associations.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economy and a Master’s degree in Finance from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. From 1987 to 2000, he held different positions at financial institutions and then served as Chief Financial Officer at two real estate and food companies. He joined the Group in 2002 as Chief Financial Planning Officer. In 2007, he served as Chief Planning and Finance Officer. He is the Chief Administrative and Financial Officer since 2014.

He joined the Company in 2006. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad de Ca’Foscari, Venice, Italy. We worked at Italian and English companies as a brand and market research assistant and joined Barilla Alimentare S.p.A. in 1997, where he held several positions in Category Management and Sales. In 1999, he moves to Mexico City and works in Trade Marketing, Category Management, and as Key Account Manager at Barilla America. In 2004, he is appointed New Business Development Manager in Chicago, Illinois, USA. In 2005, he is appointed Director at Barilla Mexico, and in 2010 he is appointed Sales Strategy Director. In 2011, he is appointed Sales Director, and since 2015 serves as Chief Commercial Officer.

He joined the Company’s Distribution department in 1978. He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad La Salle. In 1980 he joined the Industrial Relations Division, where he held several positions until he became Chief Industrial Relations Officer in 1986. From 2004 to date, he served as Chief Human Resources Officer.

He joined the Company in 2000. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Universidad Anáhuac de México and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. He joined the Sales department of the Group and then moved to the Marketing department and then to the Finance department. We worked in Marketing at McCormick & Co.  He has been the Chief Executive Officer of Aries de Campo since 2013.

He joined the Company in 1990. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness from Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from UASLP and UQAM (Université du Québec in Montreal). He joined the Operations division of Grupo Herdez in the San Luis Potosí Av. Industrias Plant, where he was General Manager from 1994. In 2013, he was responsible for the Engineering and Projects and Management and Improvement divisions. Since 2016, he has been Chief Supply Chain Officer.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising from Centro de Estudios en Ciencias de la Comunicación, and completed a Senior Management Program (AD-1) at Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas. From 1986 to 1990 he worked in Marketing and Sales at several consumer companies. He joined the Company in 1990 as Brand Manager for McCormick Mexico, and since then has held different positions in the Marketing department at Grupo Herdez. In September 2001 he was appointed Chief Commercial Officer of Associates, and since May 2007 serves as Chief Food Service Officer.

He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering Physics and a Master’s degree in Engineering at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. He worked in the Grupo Desc Food Division since 1991, where he held several positions in the finance, commercial, and human resources departments. In 2008, he was appointed head of the business combination with Grupo Herdez, which was called Herdez Del Fuerte S.A. de C.V. After the integration, he was appointed Chief Strategic Planning Officer at Grupo Herdez in 2010. He has served as Chief Planning and Associates Officer since 2018.

  • 2020: In collaboration with La Costeña® and Sanfer®, we delivered 35,000 basic food baskets to benefit more than 175,000 Mexicans affected by the COVID-19 health contingency.

    We launched the first edition of Semillero Nutrisa®, a program to support Mexican women entrepreneurs to participate in a training and business development program.

  • 2021: We became the first consumer company in Latin America to partner with Google, a global technology giant, to accelerate our digital transformation. 

    We signed an agreement with the American company General Mills® to distribute their products in Mexico, with which we entered the categories of cereal bars and prepared dessert flours.


    We celebrated the 80th anniversary of Doña María® mole with the inauguration of Casa Doña María Pons, headquarters of Fundación Herdez® in San Luis Potosí.

    We were placed in the report “Mexican Companies for the 2030 Agenda in the Decade of Action” of the Global Compact, for the actions of the Saber Nutrir® program as a reference practice to achieve Zero Hunger, one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.

  • 2022: We acquired Interdeli and Deli, Dips & Snacks, expanding our capabilities to new categories such as hummus, cheeses, and dips, integrating brands such as Libanius, Flaveur, Liguria, and Señor Cactus into our portfolio.

    For the first time in our history, we brought the best of Mexican cuisine to the United Kingdom with the Herdez® brand, through a joint alliance with McCormick & Company, Inc.

    We issued the first sustainability-linked bond in the food industry in Mexico, committing to reduce our water consumption per ton produced by 2030.

    We signed the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPS), reaffirming our commitment to gender equality.

    We joined the UN’s CFO Coalition for the SDGs, which drives the transformation of corporate finance to achieve the goals of the 2030 Agenda.

    We joined the Pacto por la Comida of the BAMX Network, an initiative that promotes more sustainable food production and consumption systems, with the goal of reducing Food Loss and Waste in the industry.

  • 2023: We consolidated the integration of Chilim Balam® into the Impulse segment portfolio, with which we positioned ourselves in the candy and snack category in the retail model.
